OCEANSIDE 2009 SUCCESS!
The Southern California Beach Soccer Championships, the 2 day festival beach soccer tournament, wraps up their 2009 event with a success. In the festival’s third year, they have gained respects from all over. The city of Oceanside has developed a strong healthy relationship with the festival, as it brings families from all over into their beautiful growing community. From Fresno to Ft. Lauderdale, teams and players travel distances to be part of this 2 day festival on the beach. The tournament has even hit the global radar as it has peaked the interests of National Beach Soccer teams across the Atlantic and Pacific. This year, the Senegal Beach National Soccer team made it to the tournament to compete in the Mens Open division -- Senegal beat Team Pugg in the final 4-3 and walked away with the $4,000 dollar cash prize. The festival has also developed strong relationships with small businesses who tent up on the beach to take advantage of the thousands of people who make it out. American Beach Soccer would like to congratulate the Southern California Beach Soccer Championships in their achievements in only 3 years, and is proud to be a partner with such a reputable tournament.
